About Us

“Our Region has one of the most dynamic economies in the world. Businesses are locating and expanding in the region at an unprecedented pace.”

RED Link's role is to facilitate opportunities to enhance the Region’s business sectors through information, communications, promotions, research, networking, and sales.

Member Associations of RED Link report to individual volunteer boards that include Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce, and Fort McMurray Construction Association (FMCA), and Lac La Biche and District Chamber of Commerce.

RED Link was created in 2003 to facilitate and promote a strong, diversified economy in the Region.

The RED Link helps clients who contribute to the thriving business sector in the Region. We initiate, develop and facilitate opportunities that serve to enhance our dynamic economy.

The RED Link strives to ensure the long-term competitiveness of the region's economy through three complementary strategies:

  • Business Retention - working with existing businesses to enhance opportunities for growth and development
  • Business Development - helping entrepreneurs access the resources to achieve successful business ventures
  • Business Formation – initiating or developing processes and tasks to attract businesses to the region, while working to stimulate major growth industries that complement our strong, dynamic economy

The RED Link champions the unparalleled business advantages and economic strength in the region to position local and local aboriginal businesses as a major player in new and existing resource development.
